Couples Counselling in Nottingham & Online
Support for couples navigating relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, and major life transitions together.
RELATIONSHIPS AND LIFE TRANSITIONS
Relationships can feel difficult even when there is still love and care between you
You may be finding yourselves stuck in the same arguments, feeling emotionally distant, struggling to communicate, or unsure how to reconnect in the way you once did.
Sometimes these difficulties build gradually over time. Other times, they emerge during periods of stress or change such as preparing for marriage, becoming parents, fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, parenting pressures, or wider family and cultural expectations.
You might feel unheard, misunderstood, disconnected, or caught in patterns that feel difficult to move out of together.
Couples counselling offers space to slow things down, understand what is happening underneath these patterns, and begin rebuilding communication, emotional connection, and support within the relationship.
MY APPROACH
Understanding patterns, communication, and emotional connection
My work is attachment informed and focused on helping couples better understand recurring relationship patterns, emotional closeness and distance, and the ways difficult experiences or transitions can affect how you relate to one another.
Together, we explore what may be happening underneath conflict, withdrawal, misunderstandings, or feelings of disconnection, helping both partners feel more emotionally safe, heard, and understood.
This work is not about deciding who is right or wrong. It is about creating greater understanding, improving communication, and helping you move towards a relationship that feels more connected, secure, and supportive.
I naturally integrate culturally aligned practice within our work as well as also offer Muslim counselling for couples navigating relationship, family, cultural, or faith related challenges.
