Couples counselling in Nottingham & Online
Supporting connection, communication, and relationships through change.
Hello, I’m Manisha.
I offer couples counselling and relationship support, both face-to-face in Nottingham and online nationwide.
I work with couples and individuals who feel disconnected, stuck in the same patterns, or finding that something has quietly shifted in their relationship. This might show up as communication breaking down, tension building, or feeling more like housemates or co-parents than partners.
For many, these changes are linked to life transitions such as, becoming parents, experiences of loss (including identity shifts, pregnancy and baby loss), or wider pressures from family, culture, or expectations. For others, it’s a gradual sense of distance that’s hard to explain but difficult to ignore.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear starting point. We can begin with where things feel difficult and make sense of it together.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Grounded in care. Rooted in culture. Guided by compassion.
I’m Manisha, a counsellor and consultant specialising in relationships, perinatal mental health, and baby loss.
My approach is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I see therapy as a collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and supported, rather than something you simply attend.
I also bring an understanding of how culture, faith, and family expectations can shape relationships and emotional experiences. These aspects are welcomed into the space rather than set aside.
Couples Counselling
Couples counselling offers a space to slow things down and understand what’s happening between you.
You might be feeling stuck in the same arguments, struggling to communicate, noticing a growing distance or finding yourselves on different parenting journeys. Sometimes there is love there, but it feels harder to reach.
Together, we explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck and begin to shift how you relate to each other in a way that feels more connected and supportive.
Individual Counselling
I also work with individuals who are navigating relationship difficulties, whether that’s feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or trying to make sense of what’s happening in a relationship.
You might come on your own, but the relationship is still at the centre of what’s bringing you here.
Relationship
Individual relationship counselling support to explore challenges across all types of relationships, including intimate.
Alongside relationship work, I offer specialist support for:
Pregnancy and Baby Loss
Baby loss counselling and emotional support after miscarriage, stillbirth and pregnancy loss.
Perinatal
Perinatal counselling during pregnancy and early parenthood, including support for pregnancy anxiety, birth trauma and postnatal emotional wellbeing.
Parenting
Counselling support for parenting stress, identity changes and the emotional challenges of raising children after pregnancy and early parenthood.
These experiences often have a deep impact on relationships and emotional wellbeing, and may be part of what brings you to counselling.
WHO I WORK WITH
Finding support for what feels difficult to carry alone
People come to counselling for many different reasons.
Sometimes it’s because something in a relationship no longer feels the same. You might be feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or caught in patterns that are hard to shift. For others, it’s a sense of emotional overwhelm, uncertainty, or things feeling heavier than they used to.
Life transitions can also bring challenges that feel difficult to navigate alone. This might include becoming parents, experiencing loss, adjusting to new roles, or managing the pressures that come from family, culture, or expectations.
Some people come feeling anxious, low, or unsure of themselves. Others are carrying grief, working through relationship difficulties, or trying to make sense of changes in identity or direction.
You don’t need to have had therapy before. Some people are reaching out for the first time, whilst others come for more specialised support or return at a different stage.
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to go through it alone.
Professional Services
Alongside my counselling practice, I also offer training and consultancy for organisations supporting families.
