Supporting couples and individuals through relationship challenges, baby loss, and the emotional impact of becoming parents.

Counselling for Relationships, Pregnancy & Parenthood

Manisha Sheth — counsellor and consultant

Hello, I’m Manisha

Grounded in care. Rooted in culture. Guided by compassion.

I’m a counsellor specialising in relationships, perinatal mental health, baby loss, and parenting transitions.

I work with individuals, couples, mothers, and fathers navigating relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and major life changes, including becoming parents, experiences of loss, and shifts in identity, connection, and family life.

My approach is attachment informed and grounded in emotional safety, cultural understanding, and practical support that helps you make sense of relationship patterns, strengthen connection, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

In addition to private practice, I work within NHS perinatal mental health services as a specialist facilitator, supporting culturally responsive group programmes. This experience informs my understanding of the emotional, relational, and cultural complexities of pregnancy, parenthood, and loss.

Who I Work With

People come to counselling for many different reasons.

You may be feeling disconnected in your relationship, struggling to communicate, or finding that something no longer feels the same. For others, it’s emotional overwhelm, anxiety, grief, or the impact of becoming parents and navigating new roles, expectations, and responsibilities.

I work with individuals and couples at different stages of relationships and family life, including mothers and fathers adjusting to the emotional and practical realities of pregnancy, parenting, and loss.

For some, finding a space that understands faith, culture, and family context is an important part of seeking support. I also offer Muslim counselling for individuals and couples looking for support that feels culturally aware and respectful of faith, family, and relationships.

Training, consultancy, and speaking for professionals and organisations

Alongside counselling, I also offer professional training, consultancy, facilitated discussions, and speaking focused on perinatal mental health, culturally aligned and anti-racist practice, baby loss, and emotionally informed care.

I work with NHS services, charities, therapists, organisations, and professionals supporting individuals, couples, parents, and families.

I am also a member of the Health Equity Expert Group for the National Maternity and Neonatal Taskforce, contributing to work focused on improving equity and experiences within maternity and neonatal care across England.
