COUNSELLING WITH ME
Your space, your journey, your time
Parenting, pregnancy, and loss can bring up layers a mix of emotions; joy, grief, excitement, pressure, or uncertainty. You don’t need to go through these feelings on your own.
Whether you’re a mother, father or a partner, counselling offers a safe space for you to feel heard, understood, and supported in finding a way forward.
Working with someone who truly understands the complexity of perinatal mental health and baby loss can make all the difference. With specialist experience in this area, I offer a space where you’ll feel heard and held wherever you are in your journey.
In our work together, you can openly share things you’ve bottled up, explore what feels difficult, and begin to make sense of your experiences without judgement. Whether you’re navigating baby loss, pregnancy, parenting, or changes in identity and relationships, you don’t have to face it alone.
Pregnancy & Baby Loss
Loss can feel isolating, whether it happened recently or many years ago. I offer a compassionate space to honour your grief, however and whenever it shows up.
Counselling offers a gentle, supportive space to honour your grief, however and whenever it shows up. Support is open to parents, partners, siblings and grandparents.
What this might look like:
- Grief after miscarriage, stillbirth, or baby loss at any stage
- Navigating anniversaries, milestones or difficult reminders
- Supporting partners, siblings or grandparents through loss
- Exploring culture, traditions or faith in how grief is expressed
- Living with feelings of guilt, anger, and/or isolation
Perinatal
Pregnancy and life after birth can feel very different from what you hoped for. You might be carrying overwhelm, sadness, worry, fear and anxiety. For some, these feelings follow a previous loss, bringing its own layers of emotion.
Counselling offers a space to share what feels heavy and find your own way to navigate this stage of life.
What this might look like:
- Feeling low, detached, or struggling to connect with your baby
- Constant worry, racing thoughts or fears about your baby’s safety and your role as a parent
- Difficult or traumatic memories of birth that still feel very present
- Pregnancy after loss or following infertility
- Emotional struggles you weren't expecting
Parenting
Parenting can feel relentless and often leaves little space for yourself. It can also bring up memories from your own upbringing or previous trauma.
Counselling can help you to slow down, process and explore healthier ways of parenting.
What this might look like:
- Stress, guilt or frustration that feels hard to share or manage day to day
- Processing your own childhood experiences or trauma that often resurfaces in parenting
- Rebuilding confidence or finding your identity again
- Navigating neurodiversity within yourself and/or your family
- Cultural or faith perspectives in parenting values
Relationships
Relationships change with new life stages. You may feel distant, unheard, or unsure how to reconnect.
Through counselling we can explore patterns, rebuild connection, and find healthier ways of communicating and relating to your partner, family members, or friends.
What this might look like:
- Communication struggles or recurring conflict
- Feeling distant, unsupported, or unseen
- Adjusting to changes after baby loss or parenting
- Exploring your identity in relationships or existing family dynamics
- Faith or cultural influences in relationship expectations
